Great points!!!!! Our society has become “Amazonized”. We expect immediacy in everything, and if we don’t get the outcome we want right away, we think “well, that didn’t work”. People need to just look at Telsa’s stock. It didn’t take just one protest or one person selling their Telsa stock or car or ugly-ass truck. And honestly, even that was fairly quick. Our boycotts need to be long and widespread.

I’m 61, and dying about Howard Dean. 🤣 I would’ve never thought the kids at that time would remember that.

I wish I saw this video earlier! There is sometimes so much news about how things are that it's hard to keep up. This interview between you guys was good and you hit alot of points that I have been thinking about for weeks.

For a suggestion I would continue with the updates if possible and consider speaking more about US connection with other countries. I'm thinking it would be interesting to hear more of this from a US perspective.

I agree with you, young man, to a certain point, but I do believe this boycott is different. It looks and feels different. We are in this for the long haul, at least from a lot of the very diverse and inclusive groups I belong to. Now, I would like to hear your positive comments on how it can work moving forward. ✌️✌️✌️

We need to get off of social media unless it is Spoutible or Fanbase. I should say that differently we should use social media strategically and what I mean by that is we should be observers or selling a product or service and that's it on their platforms. Discussing black matters should be on black platforms. In my opinion, we help white people feel as though they should have us say in what happens in our community and how things should happen and what is justice and what is injustice in our communities. We shouldn't be on social media discussing this shit with them. The reason I say that is because they're not credible. They don't open up Life360 to discuss these types of things with their community as many times as their communities have killed somebody black or someone else of color and walked away. We make them feel like they're important in their opinion is important and like we give a shit when we spend hours and hours and days and days letting them weigh in on cases like Carmelo's case. We need to honestly use their platforms and not help them make money off of us because if we aren't on there entertaining them all those social media sites to lose most of their money.

Interesting conversation. The individuals suffering in our country and world is heart breaking. The breakdown of community has had devastating effects.

I do think the point about trans-women in sports as being the most important trans issue and that trans issues are more important than racism needs a deeper dive. I believe the republican MAGA’s created the trans women in sports issue to create an excuse to be anti trans in a more polite way. The number of trans women in women’s sport is minuscule compared to the number of trans persons living with the threat of violence and obstruction to healthcare. I know the effect of a trans woman competing in a sport against female born women and the competition becomes unfair. Imagine you are a high jumper in track and a trans woman comes in first. The third place woman is now fourth place and doesn’t make the cut. Everyone jumps on this issue and yes they have a point but trans people being beaten on the street is so much more important. It doesn’t get the air time because then MAGA would look small and cruel (as they are) and ends up forgotten. And racism gets watered down under anti DEI and pushed to the back as an issue. My point is the trans athlete was used as a distraction and an excuse to get, yes, a lot of white voters to rally with Trump. Riley Gaines was a big voice as anti trans-athlete. Also, we have to see how the Christian Nationalist movement and their decades long plan are radically changing our country. And that is racist at its core. We need to talk about numbers voting. As Joy Reid said, “black people can’t do it alone”. I am white and I vote with you. There are many of us. Please have some faith in us. I hope you follow Joy Reid (she is black) on Substack. I bet you’ll learn even more about black history and our leaders. I do. We can all learn something about someone else everyday. And we can grow our community.

Question. Do you see racism and trans issues as human rights issues? Or separate? Love.
